Totally Naked and Nude at Doppelganger
The murder of a
loved one can wrench the soul right out of a person. Sympathetic,
sinister, and haunted, Drew Barrymore is both the central suspect and
primary victim of Doppelganger: The Evil Within (1993).
Barrymore’s profoundly conflicted character moves to Los Angeles
to put distance between herself and the killing of her mother back in
New York. Drew suspects that she is being stalked by a
"doppelganger," an evil alter ego who snuffed her mother
and intends to take her life as well. Drew’s shrink has a second
opinion. The bitch might just be a homicidal crazy who offed the old
broad herself in a psycho fit. How many must die before the truth is known?
